In 2007 As an indication of their dominance, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh won the Cincinnati event, their 50th team title on the AVP Crocs Tour. The other 59 team titles have gone to a combined 21 different teams. At the end of the season, May-Treanor is awarded the Best Offensive Player, Best Defensive Player, and MVP honors for the second straight season, the only player in history to receive all three in the same year.

Russian trip is beachy for Carmel athlete
Branden Clemens could hardly believe the news. After trying out for a national beach volleyball team in May and submitting a personal essay, the Carmel junior was picked to travel to Russia as part of the Bilateral Presidential Commission's Youth Beach Volleyball Exchange supported by the U.S. State Department through SportsUnited.

Trip to Russia was beachy for Zionsville volleyball player
Lindsey Barber didn't spend her 18th birthday with her twin sister and other family members, but the disappointment was short-lived. Barber, a senior at Zionsville High School, spent her birthday sightseeing in Moscow during a recent beach-volleyball exchange between the United States and Russia. Lindsey and her identical twin, Stephanie, turned 18 on Aug. 11.

A closer look: Rogers/Dalhausser the best team ever
A typical practice on the beach generally begins with some light stretching and a quick warm-up. Hamstrings, quads, hip flexors, glutes, lower back, upper back, and shoulders. A steady progression up the body, culminating in baseball-like throws back and forth between partners with a game ball, in an effort to simulate the motion associated with an overhead spike.

Kerri Walsh hoped to make her second comeback from pregnancy in as many summers three weeks ago, but the collapse of the AVP derailed those plans. Luckily for her, Hahana Beach in Cincinnati will still host a tournament this weekend as scheduled, put on by local promoters and sponsors instead of the AVP.

Brazil Beach Volleyball tour returns
Fortaleza, Brazil, August 31, 2010 – After collecting 33 medals on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour, Brazilian beach volleyball teams are back at home to play on the second phase of the National Banco do Brasil Tour. The tournament will restart in Iracema Beach, in Fortaleza, from September 9 to 12.

Impressions from SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway 2009
The Beach Volleyball World Tour has taken place eleven successive years in
Stavanger, Norway. Raymond Wardenær has been a photographer for the organizer every time. In
2009 the World Championships for men and for women were held in Stavanger. This book is from
these championships.
In the 350 photos found within, Raymond has tried to present some images that you usually don't
see from these events. Most of them are action shots along with portraits of 75 of the competing
