Beach Bits:

• Scott has been in at least one championship match in 10 consecutive seasons on the AVP Tour (2003-12).
• In 2011 and 2012, Scott won 14 of the 19 domestic tournaments he played in, across four different tours.
• He has played alongside five beach Olympians in his career.
• Scott won his third title in Boulder in 2005 on the same weekend that Rachel Wacholder won, but it was two years before they were married.
• Scott was on the AVP's second-ranked team with two different partners in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

2012: Scott and Hyden won six of the eight domestic events they played in, on two different tours.
2011: After a two-year hiatus from international play, Scott and Hyden played in two FIVB events with a best of 17th. Domestically, the duo competed in 11 tournaments on four different tours, winning eight titles.
2010: Scott and Hyden advanced to the semifinals in six of seven AVP events, placing second four times. They finished the season as the second-ranked team on tour.
2009: Began a new partnership with John Hyden, finishing fifth in the season opener before advancing to seven straight semifinals. The duo won back-to-back events in Atlanta and Ocean City and won 16 consecutive matches before losing in the finals in Brooklyn. The Atlanta victory was Scott's first since 2005. Scott and Hyden earned the top seed in Manhattan Beach, ending a streak of 24 straight AVP team events that Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers were seeded first. Scott and Hyden won in Chicago, snapping a 34-match winning streak by Dalhausser and Rogers, and ended as the second-ranked team. Scott finished the AVP season ranked second in blocks per game (1.77) and eighth in hitting percentage (.433).
2008: Teamed with Lucena, and the duo played in 11 semifinals and six championship matches, including Manhattan Beach. Scott was the third ranked player on tour. He was seventh in both kills per game (7.00) and hitting percentage (.422). Internationally the duo played three times, with a best of 17th.
2007: Played the first 10 tournaments with Matt Fuerbringer, making it to a pair of Final Fours. He then reunited with Holdren for the final seven events, with a second place in Manhattan Beach. Scott led the tour in kills per game (7.69). On the FIVB Tour he played four times with Fuerbringer, with a best of 17th in the World Championships in Gstaad, and once with Nick Lucena.
2006: Began playing with Dax Holdren, advancing to eight semifinals including three finals. He played one event with George Roumain, and ended the year as the 10th-ranked player. In the individual event, he was chosen by Rogers to be his partner in the finals, helping him to a victory. Scott was sixth in blocks per game (1.72) and ninth in hitting percentage (.429). On the FIVB Tour he played twice with Holdren, with a best of fifth, and four times with Kevin Wong, with a best of seventh.
2005: Scott played one event with Rogers, then twice with Jason Ring. Scott and Rogers reunited and played in two straight AVP finals and closed the domestic season with three consecutive wins. Scott was the fifth-ranked player on tour and was chosen as the AVP's Most Improved Player. He led the tour in hitting percentage (.454) and was fourth in kills per game (4.71) and seventh in blocks per game (1.71). In six events on the FIVB Tour with Rogers, they had a best of fourth twice.
2004: With Rogers, played in the semifinals in six of seven AVP events, winning for his first time in Tempe. In the individual event in Honolulu, he paired with Mike Lambert in the finals to win his second title. Scott led the tour in kills per game (7.64) and was sixth in blocks per game (1.81). Internationally they competed in 11 events, finishing fourth twice. They just missed qualifying for the Olympics, finishing as the third-ranked U.S. team and were the fourth-highest ranked team worldwide to not qualify for the Olympics (due to country quotas).
2003: Started the season playing two events with Hannemann. Then he reunited with Rogers, making two semifinals including one championship match on the AVP, and a best of fifth on the FIVB.
2002: Began playing with Rogers, with a best of fifth four times on the AVP Tour and once on the FIVB Tour.
2001: Formed a partnership with Albert Hannemann, advancing to four semifinals and his first championship match, in Belmar. Scott was the third-ranked player on tour. He also played one FIVB event with Todd Rogers.
2000: Started the year playing alongside Sinjin Smith in a USA Volleyball event, placing ninth in their only event together. On the AVP he played with two partners, getting a best of seventh with Paul Baxter.
1999: Had a pair of sevenths with Matt Unger as his bests, playing with three different partners. He was selected as the AVP's Rookie of the Year.
1998: Played five tournaments with three different partners.
1997: Began his pro beach volleyball career in Phoenix with Stein Metzger. Played four times with Metzger, with a best of ninth, and three other events with three different partners.

College: Played collegiately at the University of Hawaii where he graduated with a degree in Sociology.

Personal: A native of Kailua, Oahu, Scott started playing volleyball at the age of 15. In November 2007 he married fellow AVP Pro Beach Volleyball player Rachel Wacholder. They had a son, Koa, on April 3, 2009.
