WHAT: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Diva Michelle McCool will kick off the AVP Crocs Cup Shootout presented by Bud Light Manhattan Beach Open finals, hitting the ceremonial first serve before the tournament finals Saturday afternoon. The three-day AVP Crocs Cup Shootout Manhttan Beach Open is the most prestigious and historic professional beach volleyball tournament in America, bringing the world’s best beach volleyball athletes to the beaches of the South Bay, including 2008 Olympic Gold Medalists including Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh, Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers.

WHO: Michelle McCool is WWE Divas Champion on “Friday Night SmackDown” (moving to MyNetworkTV on Friday, October 3rd at 8 pm ET/PT). Before beginning her WWE career, McCool was a seventh grade science teacher in her hometown of Palatka, FL. The all-American beauty received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. She was an Academic All-American scholar athlete at Florida State where she played softball. McCool was also a competitive gymnast and can hold her own on a basketball court and volleyball court. Recently, she’s also appeared on Project Runway, The Daily Show and Best Damn Sports Show Period.
