Formerly Rachel Wacholder, Scott has established herself as one of the top AVP Women on the Tour, with 23 championship match appearances since the start of 2005.
Scott and Elaine Youngs won three tournaments during the 2005 season: the Cincinnati Open, the Huntington Beach Open and the Boulder Open. In winning the AVP Cincinnati Open, Scott and Youngs put a halt to the 50-match win streak held by Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. The win in Boulder was special as well, as it happened in her college town and on the same day her then-boyfriend Sean Scott won the men's title.
In 2006, Scott and Youngs claimed two more titles before parting ways. Playing with Jennifer Kessy, the duo made it to a pair of finals and four semifinals in total. Scott was chosen by Walsh in the Goddess of the Beach tournament in September 2006 to be her partner in the finals, helping Walsh win her first individual title. In 2007, Scott and Tyra Turner paired up to form the fourth-ranked team on tour.
Scott and Turner advanced to five semifinals in 2008, including winning the title in San Diego. Internationally the duo won two silver medals on the FIVB Tour. Scott missed most of the 2009 season due to her pregnancy.
In 2005, Scott was named the Best Defensive Player and the Most Improved Player of the AVP women after posting the second most kills and second most digs on the Tour. In 2006, she again ranked second in kills (7.71 per game) and seventh in digs (5.17 per game), while in 2007 she was ninth in digs (5.49 per game).
Scott won two FIVB Grand Slam events in 2004 alongside Olympic gold medal winner Walsh, filling in for an injured May-Treanor.
Scott graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Communications where she was also named Big 12 All-Conference twice.
Born and raised in Laguna Beach, Scott now resides in Redondo Beach with her husband Sean Scott, a player on the AVP Tour. The two were married in November 2007, and had a son, Koa, on April 3, 2009.
She played volleyball in high school and was a California State Player of the Year. She occasionally does commercials and sports modeling in the off-season.
Favorite Movie: Shawshank Redemption... Favorite Band: Norah Jones... Favorite Show: ER... Role Model: Everyone in my family... Sponsors: Speedo, Oakley, Herbalife, Liftoff, Hilton, VirtualTourist.com... Favorite Meal: Sushi
If you weren't playing professional volleyball, what would you be doing?
Something involving science - maybe I would have attempted medical school
