Bio Bits

Stehnova has played indoor volleyball and beach volleyball all her life. She is a former member of the Czech Junior National Beach Volleyball Team, is a two-time Youth Beach Volleyball European Champion and won a gold medal from Junior European Beach Volleyball Championships (partner Marketa Tychnova). She played D-1 volleyball for UMass for one season before transferring to the University of Iowa (setter). When she left Iowa she was fifth all-time in assists despite playing just two seasons. Stehnova played professionally indoor volleyball for Olymp Prague for three years before concentrating on a beach volleyball only. She has competed for the Czech Republic at FIVB tournaments and is now eligible to play in AVP tournaments. Both of Stehnova's parents played professional volleyball, and her father, Stanislav, was an Olympian.
