College: McKinzie left her name etched in the Virginia Tech record book, as she was the sixth player in program history to record 1,000 kills, 1,000 digs and 100 aces in her career. She ended with 1,011 kills and 1,168 digs. During her senior season her younger sister Abby also played on the Virginia Tech team.
Personal: McKinzie has two sisters, Seneca and Abby. Her high school team won the state championship all four years, and she was named 2012 Michigan Miss Volleyball. McKinzie was second-team all-state her freshman season and then first-team the following three years. She was a finalist for both the PrepVolleyball Junior National Player of the Year and the PrepVolleyball Senior National Player of the Year.
