College: Phillips played indoors at Texas, where she was a two-time NCAA Champion (in 2022 and 2023) and a 2022 AVCA All-America Honorable Mention. She ended her indoors career with 387 blocks, 773 kills, and a .341 hitting percentage. As a graduate student she played one season of beach volleyball at Southern Cal, where she went 8-0 with four different partners as the team won the National Championship.
Personal: Phillips has one brother, Mac. Her family has a lot of college football history, as her father John played at Abilene Christian and she had cousins who played at Texas and Texas Christian. In high school Phillips was the District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, the District Blocker MVP as a sophomore, District Hitter MVP as a junior, and District Hitter of the Year as a senior. She was PrepVolleyball's No. 16 Senior Ace in 2018.
