College: McCown played two seasons indoors at Montana, tallying 417 kills, 221 digs and 80 blocks. She then transferred to the University of Houston, where she played one season, ending with 173 kills, 68 digs and 25 blocks.
Personal: McCown's high school team won back-to-back state titles while compiling a 98-3 match record during her sophomore and junior seasons.
