Knopf was a four-year starter for CSU as a middle blocker. She was twice named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, and was also a two-time first-team All-American. She set school career marks in aces, blocks and hitting percentage, while also leaving the school in the top ten list of kills and digs.
As a junior, Knopf was named to the third-team Verizon Academic All-America, and then was a second-team choice her senior season.
Teaching is the passion in life for Knopf, who also values family, her faith and her students.
Knopf is the middle child, with two brothers. Her older brother, Brent, is a musician in Portland and her younger brother, Eric, has a marketing company in Sacramento. Her mom, Bonnie, is a Christian musician, and her dad, Greg, is a family physician.
