Beach Bits:

• Lima did not qualify in the first AVP tournament she ever played in (San Diego in 2004), but since has never failed to advance from a qualifier.

2009: Lima started the season with two events alongside Jenny Pavley, then began a partnership with Tatiana Minello. Lima and Tati advanced to four semifinals, the first of Lima's career, including her initial title match appearance in Muskegon.
2008: Played two events with Janelle Koester to start the year before reuniting with Lewis. Lima and Lewis had three seventh-place finishes before placing fifth in Long Beach. Lima ended the season ninth in kills per game (6.85).
2007: Lima played the entire year with Lewis, finishing as high as fifth twice.
2006: Began the year with Lewis, then partnered with Paula Roca for the second half of the year. She had a pair of ninths with both partners.
2005: Played her first full season on the beach, beginning the year with two different partners before teaming up with Angela Lewis midway through. Her season best was ninth in Huntington Beach with Lewis. 
2004: Began her professional beach career playing four events with two different partners. After not advancing to the main draw in her first event, Lima advanced in her next three tournaments.

College: Lima played collegiately at Louisiana-Lafayette, where she left ranked fourth in career digs and fifth in kills on the school's charts. Twice she was named all-conference, garnering first-team honors her senior season.

Personal: Lima grew up in Brazil and started playing volleyball at the age of 15.
