Seiffert was a three-time second-team AVCA All-American setter at LBSU. He graduated with a degree in Communications, then went on to play outside hitter on the U.S. National Team.

Seiffert has an older brother, Eric, who also played on the National Team in addition to playing professionally in Italy.
