Bio Bits

Maghy grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif., where he began playing beach volleyball at the age of 11, influenced by his older brother Scott and Uncle Jeff. He attended Fountain Valley High School, competing on the volleyball team and surf team. Maghy won a silver medal at the Junior Olympics at the age of 19 with the Long Beach volleyball club.

Maghy went to UC San Diego where he played on the club volleyball team. When not playing volleyball, he enjoys surfing, traveling and brewing beer.
