Evans played right side at NDSU, where her teams won conference titles three times. NDSU was the 1998 NCAA Division II runner up and made it to the Elite Eight in 1999. She was selected first-team all-conference in 2001. Following graduation with a degree in Human Performance and Fitness, she played professionally in Evreux, France for the 2004-05 season.
In high school Evans was a three-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, basketball and softball. She was inducted to the Warroad High School Hall of Fame in 2007. Evans is currently (December 2020) the Director of Volleyball for P2P Sports in Windsor, CO.
