Bio Bits

Hedetniemi began playing volleyball at the age of 22 while serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the 1996 gold medal winning team for the Air Force at the Armed Service competition. He credits his wife, Allison, with teaching him the game of volleyball (except for blocking). He currently works as a physical therapist.
