Bio Bits

After posting a career best of $18,375 in earnings in 2000 (11 events), Cox compiled $8,150 (five events) in 2001. Cox had a 2000 third with Katy Eldridge in the season finale at San Diego. Cox and Evelyn Conley posted a second in a domestic qualifying event in 1994. Cox played five seasons on the four-person tour where she competed in every tournament. She was a four-person All-League Setter and Defensive Player of the Year in 1995. Cox teamed with Annett Davis, Jenny Johnson Jordan and Gabrielle Reece to lead the United States to the four-person title at the 1997 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in Los Angeles. Cox has a degree in Law and Society from Cal-Santa Barbara where she played volleyball for beach legend Kathy Gregory. She is an assistant coach at UCSB and is married (Jose Gandara).
