College: Donlin attended North Carolina for her first two years. She was the ACC Freshman of the Year and an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, then was a medical redshirt her sophomore season. Donlin transferred to Hawai'i where she played beach volleyball, ending her junior season with a 29-6 record and was 7-2 as a senior before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. With the extra year of eligibility, she enrolled as a grad student at Southern Cal, where she went 25-4 mostly on court 2, as USC won the national championship.
Personal: Formerly Julia Scoles, Donlin has an older brother, Cooper. Her mother, Ginny, played field hockey and ice hockey at Potsdam College. Donlin was the 2015 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, and was the sixth-ranked recruit in the nation according to PrepVolleyball.com.
