College: Wenz played four seasons as an outside hitter at Ohio State. She then played one year of beach volleyball at Arizona State.

Personal: Wenz has a twin brother, Andrew, and a younger brother, Alex. Her father, George, was a pitcher at Niagara, who in 1986 had the fourth-best ERA (2.86) in school history.
