College: Murdock played two seasons of indoor volleyball at Michigan State, then transferred to Grand Valley State University, where she played two years indoors. As a senior she was second on the team in kills (246)
Personal: Murdock is one of six children. Her mother, Deborah, ran track at Marquette, and two of her sisters played volleyball collegiately, Shannon (at Rochester College) and Sophie (at Saint Francis University). As a high school freshman Murdock was called up from JV to her varsity team, and helped the school reach the state final.
