College: Hickey played four years as an outside hitter at IUPUI. She was the league's Freshman of the Year and helped her school win its first ever outright regular season championship. As a sophomore Hickey was named All-Conference as she set the school single season record for solo blocks (28) and led the team to the NCAA Tournament. She became the school's fourth player to surpass 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs during her junior year, and became the school's first player to be named AVCA Honorable Mention All-American. Hickey senior campaign was capped with another AVCA Honorable Mention All-America award along with being chosen as the conference Player of Hickey became the first player in league history to surpass 1,500 kills and 1,500 digs.
Personal: Hickey was a two-time state champion in high school.
