College: Kool played four years indoors at North Carolina State. As a Freshman libero, she had 486 digs, the third most in program history. Her 527 as a senior was the second most in school history. Kool left as the program's all-time digs leader with 1,836 as well as the having played the most matches and sets ever for the Wolfpack.
Personal: Formerly Kelly Wood, she was a two-time Conference Player of the Year in high school volleyball, while also competing in swimming, track, basketball, and for years of soccer. She is married and has a daughter born in 2022.
