College: McKibben played three years of indoor volleyball at the University of San Francisco, where she started two seasons as a setter. She also played two seasons of beach volleyball at USF, and in her second season she went 18-3 while playing with Jessica Gaffney. McKibben transferred to Colorado for her senior year, where she was the starting setter for the indoor team.

Personal: McKibben has one sister, Tiana, who was in the Navy, while both of her parents served in the Air Force. In high school her team went 29-0 her senior season and won the state championship. Following college graduation, McKibben played professionally in the united Kingdom, and won a National Championship with Team Durham.
