College: Gonzales played indoors at Agusta University in Georgia. As a freshman she was third in the team in both kills and blocks, then as a sophomore she was second on the team in kills. Gonzales ranked in the top 10 in the league in both kills and hitting percentage, and she led her team in kills as a senior. She left the program with 1,234 kills and 173 blocks.
