College: Huhmann was an opposite / middle blocker at Princeton for four years. As a freshman he led the league in hitting percentage (.387) and was third in blocks (1.03 per set), earning the league's Newcomer of the Year award. Huhmann was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American as a sophomore as he led the conference in kills (3.69 per set) and points (4.60 per set), and ranked in the top 10 nationally in points per set. He was the conference Player of the Year and again was chosen AVCA Honorable Mention All-America after leading the league in kills (396) and points (485). His senior season was cut short due to COVID, but he was First Team All-EIVA and led the conference in aces. Huhmann finished his career with 1177 kills, 356 blocks, 122 aces, and a .316 hitting percentage.

Personal: Huhmann was an all-state volleyball player and his high school team won the state title his junior season. As a senior he was a member of the AVCA All-America Watch List. Huhmann also lettered in basketball and cross country.
