In 2006 Polzin enjoyed her best year in terms of final points ranking and money earned. She was seventh on the Tour in aces (.73 per game) and 10th in blocks (.76).
Polzin teamed with Denise Johns in San Diego in 2005 when they placed fifth. They were one of just three teams to defeat both Rachel Wacholder / Elaine Youngs and Jennifer Kessy / Holly McPeak in the same tournament.
Polzin received a communications degree from Long Beach State, helping the 49ers to win the national championship in 1989. Polzin was second-team all-conference in 1991 and first-team in 1992. “Lish” was in the top 10 in career kills and blocks when she left, and holds the school record with 10 aces in a match. Was a member of the 1994 USA indoor team that got a Silver Medal in the Goodwill Games in Russia (along with fellow AVP players Annett Davis and Elaine Youngs). Played for Orange County in the NVA (with AVP player Jen Meredith).
Formerly Alicia Mills, she is married to Scott Polzin.
