2006 was Roca's fourth straight season of being ranked as a top-32 player, boosted by two fifth-place finishes in the first three events.
Roca grew up in Recife, Brazil with two brothers and a sister, and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Began her college career at the College of Southern Idaho, where she led the team to consecutive NJCAA titles and was the NJCAA MVP in 1994 and 1995. Transferred to University of Southern Florida, which won the USA Conference in 1996. Roca is married (Sebastion) and they have a boy (Rocky) born in 1999. She played professionally in Brazil, and usually goes there in March to train with the top Brazilian players before the season starts. Is currently working in international trade and within the next year will try to obtain the difficult license needed to become a U.S. customs broker.
