Berg played at Minnesota, where she was a three-time all-Big Ten selection. She left the school having tallied the third-most assists in conference history. She graduated with a degree in Business, then led the Minnesota Chill to the USPV Championship.
Berg was a 2004 indoor Olympian and has played professionally in Italy. Her older sister, Erin Lindsey, set the scool record for career assists at the University of North Carolina and is currently an assistant coach there. Berg goes by the nicknames "Bergie", "Linds", "Lou" and "L-boogie".
