Bio Bits

College:  Marinos played four seasons at Fresno Pacific University. Her team won 3 NAIA Indoor Volleyball National Championships, in 2007, 2008 and after going undefeated in 2009. She was a team captain and awarded Most Inspirational and team MVP in 2009. During her career she compiled a 146-4 record. Marinos was also awarded Senior of the Year in 2009 for the Sunbird Athletic Awards. When her eligibility ended she served as an assistant coach at FPU as the team won another NAIA National Championship in 2010. She also competed in the Javelin, and was an NAIA All-American in 2008 and 2009.

High School:  Marinos was a three-year starter on both the varsity volleyball and basketball teams at Exeter Union High School in California. Her volleyball team was in the state playoffs all three years, and she was a two-time East Sequoia League MVP. She was awarded Tulare County Volleyball Player of the Year and ranked on the top five for Tulare County Athlete of the Year from the Visalia Times Delta in 2006. Marinos received the Athlete of the Year at EUHS, and was inducted in to the EUHS Hall of Fame for volleyball and basketball.

Personal:  Marinos received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. During graduate school in San Diego she began playing beach volleyball. She entered her first sand tournament in Arizona in January 2013 and a few months later was selected to be part of the USA Beach National Training Team  for U26. She also participated in the USA Beach High Performance Championships in August 2013.
