College: McKeown began her collegiate career playing beach
volleyball at Florida State. She had a 5-0 dual match record in her time
there, then transferred to Cal to play beach volleyball. In her
junior season McKeown went 27-8, primarily alongside Ella Dreibholz, and
that duo tied for the second most wins (23) in a season in school
history.
Personal: McKeown's mother,
Kathy, played volleyball at Notre Dame and her uncle played volleyball
at Ohio State. In high school McKeown was a two-time league MVP and her
school's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. and she graduated
Summa Cum Laude with a 4.58 GPA. She left ranked second all time in
blocks (78.5), fifth in digs (711) and sixth in kills (792) in her high
school program's history. Following graduation from Cal she earned a
Master's Degree from Vanderbilt University.
