Lauren attended the University of Hawaii where she was named second team all-WAC, and was selected to the WAC all-tournament team in 2001. In 2002 she was selected to the AVCA All-America third team, First team all-WAC, WAC all tournament team, and Wahine Classic all-tournament team. In 2003 she was named first team all-WAC, WAC all-tournament team, Wahine Classic all-tournament team, and Aston Imua Challenge all-tournament team.
Lauren Duggins Chun was born in Fullerton, CA and went to Fullerton Union High School. Her parents are Mike and Deb Duggins of Fullerton and has one younger sister, Elise, who currently plays volleyball for the University of Hawaii. In addition to her four letters in high school volleyball she lettered three years in soccer and one in track. Lauren is presently a full-time elementary school teacher and is also an assistant coach at Word of Life Academy in Honolulu. She was recently married in June 2006 and enjoys relaxing and spending time at the beach with her husband and family.
