College: Johansen played beach volleyball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she went 0-1 as a freshman then did not compete in the COVID-shortened season.  As a sophomore she was 14-14 primarily on court four with Sam Strah, and had a win over Stanford in Cal Poly's first ever NCAA Tournament victory. Johansen was 6-12 as a junior, mostly on court four while playing with six different partners. She then transferred to Loyola Marymount for her final year of eligibility, 

Personal: Johansen was born in France to Isabelle and Jan Johansen, and has two older sisters, Marie and Anne. In high school she was all-league four years and twice was the MVP.
