Bio Bits

Kemner earned $7,250 in her first pro beach season in 1999 while placing ninth five times with Karolyn Kirby. Kemner competed on the United States National Team from 1985 through the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. A three-time Olympian, Kemner earned a Bronze Medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Kemner was named to All-Spectacular team at 1993 FIVB Grand Champions Cup after being selected to the All-Spectacular team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Kemner was the 1991 FIVB Most Valuable Player and Most Outstanding Player at the 1991 World Cup, where the United States qualified for the 1992 Olympics. Kemner was a six-time recipient of the USOC Female Volleyball Athlete of the Year (1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1992). Kemner played for Club Atletico Sorocaba in Brazil in 1993-94, which reached the semifinals in the playoffs. She competed for Ravenna Il Messaggero in Italy (1992-93) and guided them to second-place finish in her league. Kemner spent the 1989-90 campaign playing in the Italian Professional League with Telcom-Milan. She also played professionally in Japan. An All-American volleyball player at Arizona, Kemner also played softball for the Wildcats. Kemner was inducted into the Arizona Hall of Fame in 1992.
