Beach Bits:

• In Halverson's pro beach volleyball debut, in Santa Barbara in 2006, his first ever match was against his current partner, Billy Allen, with Halverson winning.

2013: Halverson reunited with Allen and the duo played five AVP events together. Their best finish was a third in Santa Barbara after eliminating second-seeded Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal. Halverson ended the year third in kills per game (7.24).
2012: In nine events across three different tours, Halverson advanced to a pair of semifinals, one with Adrian Carambula and one with Allen. He played four times with Carambula, three with Ty Loomis, and one each with Matt Olson and Allen.
2011: Halverson played in 10 events on three different tours, with eight of those coming alongside Adam Roberts. In Malibu on the NVL Tour, the duo won giving Halverson his first victory.
2010: Halverson and Allen began the year with a third-place finish in Fort Lauderdale, the first semifinal appearance for each player. They had five top-10 finishes in their seven events together.
2009: Halverson and Allen played in 11 tournaments with a best of fifth. Halverson ended the year with two events with Paul Baxter. Just one year after having played in the qualifiers, Halverson was seeded as high as fifth in Brooklyn.
2008: Halverson played five events with Jason Lee, with a best of ninth, and one time with Jensen. He played 11 tournaments with Billy Allen, with a best of seventh twice. Halverson advanced from the qualifier three times, but by midseason had enough points to be seeded directly into the main draw.
2007: Halverson began the year playing in four qualifiers with three different partners, including two with Allstot, but was unable to advance to the main draw in any of them. He then formed a partnership with Dane Jensen, and they advanced from the qualifier in four of the six events they played in.
2006: Halverson played two tournaments with Sean Allstot, but did not advance to the main draw in either one. In his first ever tournament, in Santa Barbara, they nearly qualified as the 81st-seeded team, falling in the match to get into the main draw to the top seeded qualifier team.

College: Halverson played club volleyball at Cal Poly-SLO, where he received a B.S. in Biochemistry.

Personal: Halverson spent one summer coaching volleyball camps for Jon Lee while living in his van. He currently is a high school chemistry teacher. In 2009 he married his wife Danielle, a collegiate All-American in track and fitness model.
